The Construction on the Mangla Medical Centre (MMC) started in early 2021 and was completed by the end of the same year. The medical centre has been operating at full capacity since January 1st, 2022. Free health care is available for those unable to afford it, and it serves as the initial point of contact for minor ailments.
The medical centre has achieved the following since its opening in 2022:
- Treated approximately 14,141 people to date for treatable conditions.
- Free medications costing 46 lakh PRs have been provided to those who qualify.
- Employed 12 staff members (including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and others) who have been working tirelessly 24/7 to serve the community.
The annual operational expenses for the Medical Center are 98 lakh PRs, which cover staff salaries, maintenance and medication (the lattermost of which is covered entirely with Zakaat funds).
